Description

Sobada De Matriz, or womb massage, is a gentle, non-invasive therapy deeply rooted in ancient Mexican Traditional Medicine. This practice focuses on the abdomen and pelvis to support the natural alignment of internal organs, enhance circulation, and release stagnant energy, promoting balance and harmony within your body. It is a powerful practice that addresses a range of concerns, including digestive issues, menstrual irregularities, and prolapse, while nurturing overall health and vitality. What to Expect During Your Session - Your first visit begins with a comprehensive consultation where we'll discuss your health history, current concerns, lifestyle, and wellness goals. Next, I'll perform a full-body assessment to identify areas of tension and restriction before providing your Sobada de Matriz. Throughout the session, I'll share my findings, explain what I'm noticing in your body and womb space, and answer any questions you may have. If your assessment indicates a matriz caída (bladder or uterine prolapse/displacement) and your body is ready to receive it, I'll perform an acomodada (uterine repositioning) to help restore proper alignment of the uterus. A matriz caída requires a minimum of six follow-up sessions to help restore optimal womb positioning and support lasting healing. Before you leave, you'll receive personalized womb care recommendations along with a customized treatment plan outlining the recommended frequency of care and next steps. Contraindications: - Any condition which would contraindicate massage in general, such as contusions, cuts, burns, tumors, broken bones, active cancer, or any serious medical condition without physician clearance. - During menstruation. As the endometrium is shedding, we don't want to take a chance of some of the endometrial cells getting into other parts of the pelvis (known as endometriosis). - If client is pregnant or suspects she may be pregnant. We don't want to take a chance that deep tissue work over the uterus could possibly dislodge or otherwise negatively affect the placenta attachment or zygote implantation process. - For clients who are currently trying to get pregnant, it is best to omit sobada de matriz between ovulation and the start of the next menstrual cycle, in case pregnancy occurs during ovulation. - If client has an internal birth control device such as an IUD.
