Postpartum Massage for LMTs

TBD

333 US dollars

Description

This hands-on training is designed for licensed massage therapists and bodyworkers who want to support clients during the postpartum period through therapeutic bodywork and womb-centered care. The postpartum period is a time of significant physical recovery and emotional transition. After pregnancy and birth, the body is working to restore balance as the uterus involutes, the abdominal wall begins to recover, and the musculoskeletal system adjusts after months of carrying and supporting a growing baby. Many postpartum clients experience tension, fatigue, pelvic discomfort, back pain, and lingering stress within the body. Postpartum massage can play an important role in supporting recovery by helping to reduce muscular tension, encourage circulation, support lymphatic movement, and provide a nurturing space for rest and integration after birth. In this training, practitioners will learn how to safely work with postpartum clients using supportive bodywork techniques that address common postpartum discomforts while honoring the sensitivity of the body during this recovery period. Students will be guided through a step-by-step postpartum massage sequence and learn practical techniques that can be integrated into their professional practice. Participants will learn: • Physiological changes that occur in the postpartum body • A step-by-step postpartum massage sequence • Techniques to address common postpartum concerns such as back pain, neck and shoulder tension, and pelvic discomfort • Gentle bodywork approaches to support the abdomen and surrounding tissues after birth • Positioning strategies for working comfortably with postpartum clients • Contraindications and safety considerations during the postpartum period • Intake considerations and client communication when working with postpartum clients Educational Disclaimer: All trainings offered through Sacred Womb Therapeutics are for educational purposes only. Participation in these trainings does not grant a professional license or certification to practice any modality. Practitioners are responsible for working within the legal scope of their professional license or certification.
