Service Description
Sobada De Matriz, or womb massage, is a gentle, non-invasive therapy deeply rooted in ancient Mexican Traditional Medicine. This therapeutic massage focuses on the abdomen and pelvis to support the natural alignment of internal organs, enhance circulation, and release stagnant energy, promoting balance and harmony within your body. It is a powerful practice that addresses a range of concerns, including digestive issues, menstrual irregularities, fertility challenges, and postpartum recovery, while nurturing overall health and vitality. What to Expect During Your Session - Your session begins with a personalized consultation to discuss your health history, current concerns, and overall well-being. This conversation allows me to understand your journey and tailor the treatment to support your body’s healing process. Following our consultation, I will check your entire body for areas of tension or tightness before guiding you through a sobada de matriz. During the session, I share insights about what I feel in your body and womb space, helping you understand your unique needs. Afterward, I provide you with a personalized womb care plan for continued at-home support and let you know how many follow-up sessions I recommend. Some clients benefit from just one session per month, while others may need weekly sessions—it all depends on what I feel during your initial consultation. This sacred practice invites you to connect with your body on a deeper level, fostering healing and empowerment on your wellness journey. Contraindications: - Any condition which would contraindicate massage in general, such as contusions, cuts, burns, tumors, broken bones, etc. - During menstruation. As the endometrium is shedding, we don't want to take a chance of some of the endometrial cells getting into other parts of the pelvis (known as endometriosis). - If client is pregnant or suspects she may be pregnant. We don't want to take a chance that deep tissue work over the uterus could possibly dislodge or otherwise negatively affect the placenta attachment or zygote implantation process. - For clients who are currently trying to get pregnant, it is best to omit sobada de matriz between ovulation and the start of the next menstrual cycle, in case pregnancy occurs during ovulation. - If client has an internal birth control device such as an IUD.
